Writing about this topic might seem unusual for almost everyone; I didn’t find bloggers writing about it, or other people interested in the subject.
It seems that the IT Department’s role in schools is completely clear and that it’s okay as it is. I reviewed a number of school web sites in the “technology” section to find out what these schools are doing and in general they have the same “sense” of it. (more…)

Over the last decade, increasingly schools in developed and developing countries have been supporting 1:1 initiatives in education. 1:1 computing refers basically to the level at which access to technology is available to students and teachers.

Donate or Recycle
When we referred to sustainability, we tend to concentrate on how the IT leaders can help their companies cut energy consumption, that’s normal since that’s the most natural target to quantify. However, there are other targets more critically involved in sustainability than managing companies’ appetite for lowering the costs and take away everything that is no longer functional.
Sustainability is the long-term maintenance of well-being, which has environmental, economic, and social dimensions, and encompasses the concept of stewardship, the responsible management of resource use.
